The Senate blue ribbon committee may unseal evidence presented by former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bulacan engineer Brice Hernandez when the panel resumes its probe into anomalous flood control projects on Tuesday, September 23.In an interview on True FM on Monday, September 22, Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, who chairs the blue ribbon panel, said Hernandez’s evidence is not limited to his kickback allegations against senators Jinggoy Estrada and Joel Villanueva. The hearing comes after consultations Monday between Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Senate President Pro Tempore and Blue Ribbon Chair Panfilo Lacson and the newly-established Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), a government body created to oversee and audit major infrastructure projects across agencies. Ahead of the hearing, Sotto also met with Lacson and Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla to coordinate legal and investigative measures.
