Nailpin, a Belgian band, gained initial recognition with their debut album 12 TO GO in May 2004, featuring singles like ""Endless Conversations,"" ""Movin' On,"" and ""Together."" Their performance at the 2004 TMF Awards led to an invitation from Avril Lavigne to open for her Japan tour. In 2005, they participated in MTV's Road Rally, racing across the USA from Los Angeles to New York and winning the competition.

Their second album, White Lies & Butterflies, was released in April 2006, coinciding with another Japan tour. In 2008, they released their third album III, featuring singles such as ""The Ending"" and ""It's Alright."" During this period, they opened for Panic! at the Disco and Bon Jovi. The band also toured extensively in Europe in 2009 before announcing an indefinite hiatus in October, with their final show taking place in December 2009.
