So what is so special about the coffee that comes from Costa Rica?
Well, Costa Rica is actually an amazing little country just nestled in between Panama and Nicaragua in Central America. It's a tiny country but it delivers way more than it's weight class.
It's a diverse country with jungles and volcanoes and beautiful pristine water! It is also home to one of FIVE Blue Zones which occur around the world. A Blue zone is where people's expected lifespan exceeds the rest of the world.
Costa Rica and coffee have gone hand in hand for 100s of years and they have been very active in helping shape the landscape for specialty coffee. In fact, in 2006, a coffee farmer from Costa Rica created a revolutionary processing technique that has now become so famous that countries all around the world use this technique to process their coffee to increase the quality of their crop.
