Big Papi Sketch Process

Описание: Digital inking stage of my caricature sketch of David 'Big Papi' Ortiz as a member of the Boston Red Sox to the audio of Fenway Park fans singing their stadium anthem 'Sweet Caroline'.
The time lapse video shows a scanned image from my sketchbook. I pull that into photoshop and create an 'ink' layer over top of the sketchbook layer (which is made to be about 60% transparent). The process is more or less tracing at this point, but rather than trace every line right from the sketchbook drawing, I have to consider what I will choose to do with color and shading further down the process. In this ink phase, I'm really looking for main structure and solid lines. The rest will come later.
