Miami Dolphins OTA’s Day 2 | Highlights, Recap & De’Von Achane Already Standing Out!

Описание: Day 2 of Miami Dolphins offseason OTA’s was open to the media, which means we’re back with a recap of all of the day’s action!

One of the highlights of the day was simply quarterback Tua Tagovailoa being back on the field in front of the media for the first time since suffering his season-ending concussion on Christmas Day against the Green Bay Packers. In today’s video we have some Tua highlights that were provided via Cameron Wolfe as his passes once again were spot on to the likes of Jaylen Waddle and Braxton Berrios as Tyreek Hill was not at Tuesday’s practice.

Another standout offensively was rookie running back De’Von Achane. Achane was credited with several chunk-yardage gains on both the ground and through the air - including a long completion from Tagovailoa. Jeff Wilson also had a nice compliment about Achane’s speed when talking with reporters after practice. De'Von Achane was the Miami Dolphins third-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Also missing from practice was Terron Armstead, Connor Williams and Zach Sieler.

Rookie cornerback Cam Smith was also noted with some highlight plays by Travis Wingfield including a PBU and a nice jam at the line of scrimmage against Jaylen Waddle.

The first day of Dolphins OTA’s (Monday) was not open to the media, however we did learn that wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was wearing the team’s orange jersey, which is given to the top performer from the previous day’s practice. Tuesday’s owner of the orange jersey was linebacker Duke Riley.

Recording sacks for the Dolphins defense today was Jaelan Phillips, Raekwon Davis and Emmanuel Ogbah. Recently-acquired cornerback Jalen Ramsey was in attendance today, and while he wasn’t singled out with any notable plays, was part of a defense that forced Tagovailoa into numerous checkdowns.

Both Cedrick Wilson and Erik Ezukanma were credited with intermediate receptions via Tagovailoa.
