Highlights of Poetics Across Continents, a soulfully vibrant event by Sangeet Millennium, in partnership with Flamenco Fever, celebrating the love poetry of three iconic 20th-century poets from three continents: Rabindranath Tagore (India), Pable Neruda (Chile), and Federico Garcia Lorca (Spain). Powered by the fusion of these poets' words in multiple languages, set to the music and movement of their respective cultures, Poetics Across Continents offers a feast of diverse forms of artistic expression that transcends borders and continents.
Sangeet Millennium and Flamenco Fever, with their special guest dancers, musicians, and spoken word performers from Spain, India, Mexico, Bangladesh, and Texas team up to present a multilingual, interdisciplinary, and intercultural celebration of South Asian and Spanish/flamenco music and dance, together with recitations of Spanish, Bengali, and English poetry in the original and their translation into Urdu and English.
