Time-saving strats are to avoid using time bonuses as much as you can, avoid cleaning as much as you can (account for the -500 or +0 points you will get from the health inspector), and menu as effectively as you can. I may have purchased upgrades I didn't need.
Also, loading times could be better on different wiis, or Wii U, which would save a lot of time, probably. If there was a leaderboard for this, I'd say it might be best to remove load-times from the total time to best compare times despite hardware differences.
Overall, the game isn't really a fantastic speed game, and it is a bit long. I sadly don't see any way people could find legitimate skips for skipping entire levels, but who knows?
I like this game, but certainly best played in chunks. Kinda neat to attempt to beat it without time bonuses, as it makes the last two worlds makes it easy to cut it close to the required score.
