How to Clog • The RODNEY • Appalachian Clogging Tutorial

Описание: Clog along with me in this intermediate Appalachian clogging dance tutorial as I introduce the Rodney and drill the Rodney sequence from Big John, choreographed by Sheila Graziano. The Rodney is named in honor of Rodney Sutton of the Green Grass Cloggers.

The Rodney:
Shuffle, heel, toe, step

The Rodney begins like a Lucy with shuffle, heel, toe. You need to shuffle your foot behind you versus returning it to the typical clogging ready position/marionette position in order to be ready for the toe. On the "step" at the end of the Rodney, you will step onto your full, flat foot, and in the case of the Rodney sequence in Big John, at either 1/4 or 1/2 turn from your starting position.

Big John Rodney sequence/combo:
Pony (L)
Touch Step
Rodney (1/4 turn on step)
Shuffle slide, shuffle slide
Rodney (1/2 turn on step)
Earl (turn to the front/audience)
