Описание: Deltas form where rivers with abundant sediment flow into lakes or the ocean. The supply of sediment has to be greater than the rate of sediment transport away from the river mouth for a delta to form. Estuaries form when there lake or sea level is going up and the amount of sediment supplied by the river is too low to keep the sea from flooding the river valley. This video includes a description of these differences.
