There have been many changes to the NY State STAR real estate tax program in recent years including some big changes they made in 2019. NY state is offing an incentive to register for STAR credits. The credit may increase by as much as 2%/year, but the STAR exemption will not increase. If you keep the exemption you’re being frozen at 2019 levels.
