Last weekend, I escaped the busy rhythm of Saigon and went home to My Tho, a peaceful town in the Mekong Delta.
It was just a quiet weekend - visiting Vinh Trang Pagoda, drinking sugarcane juice at Gieng Nuoc Park, watching the sunset by Rach Mieu Bridge, eating a bowl of hủ tiếu, and spending the morning with my family preparing food for my grandfather’s memorial.
There’s something soft and grounding about going home…the familiar flavors, the slow river breeze, and the sound of everyone cooking together in the kitchen.
This video is not a travel guide - it’s simply a gentle diary of a weekend back home.
