Описание: WASHINGTON — US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s latest proposal aimed at ending the ongoing regional conflict, calling the plan “totally unacceptable.”

In a statement posted on social media, Trump said he had reviewed the response sent by Iranian representatives and expressed strong dissatisfaction with Tehran’s conditions for peace.

Earlier on Sunday, Iran had delivered its proposal to Washington through Pakistani mediators as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East.

According to Iranian state media, Tehran’s proposal called for an immediate end to hostilities across the region and demanded the lifting of sanctions imposed on Iran.

The proposal also reportedly urged the United States to suspend sanctions on Iranian oil exports for 30 days and end the naval blockade affecting Iranian ports.

The latest diplomatic exchange came amid continued instability across the Gulf region, where recent Iranian strikes have already placed pressure on a fragile ceasefire.
