While the Original Series may be more iconic, a lot of younger people tend to prefer The Next Generation, and I'm one of them. The original series was groundbreaking and is responsible for kicking off the franchise, but TNG proved that Star Trek was not a one-trick pony and is a better made and longer running show. In fact, a lot of folks were introduced to Trek through this show and consider people like Picard and Data to be equals to Kirk and Spock.
Out of 178 episodes, picking just 10 to represent this show is near impossible, as you'll be leaving out too many other really good ones. So, just view this list as a sampler of the meal, and take my word that there are plenty of other really good ones I didn't include here.
Side note: Please forgive the shifting visual quality of the footage. My usual methods of getting footage failed and I wasn't thrilled about just using still images, so I had to resort to other cruder methods. Hopefully, it's not too distracting.
