We're tracking Hurricane Hilary as it dangerously inches closer to the West Coast.
Hurricane Hilary underwent rapid intensification in the Pacific Ocean, strengthening from a tropical storm to a large and powerful Category 4 hurricane in less than 48 hours.
The FOX Forecast Center expects the powerful storm to strengthen to a Category 5 at some point this weekend as it inches toward the western coast of the U.S.
As the storm approaches, officials are advising everyone to take the necessary precautions and steps to prepare.
