Описание: “I will always be a friend of Israel,” says UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves, at a Labour friends of Israel reception.

Reeves reiterated her support for Israel and solidarity with the Jewish community several times during her address to LFI at the Labour conference, on Tuesday.

She mentioned jokingly that she was the former vice-chair of LFI but had to step down to become the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Israel stands accused of committing genocide in Gaza and is currently under increasing pressure to end its deadly military operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

The death toll from Israel’s genocide in Gaza surpassed 66,000 people this week, with over 20,000 being children.
