Jeow Som, a lao dipping sauce that goes with just about anything.
Seafood sauce, steak, chicken, and rice. ANYTHING!
Sour, Spicy, Sweet and Savory.
Usually made with a mortar and pestle. This is the quicker and easier way, and it blends it into fine pieces so you get a a little bit of everything in each dip.
Ingredients:
1/4 Cup Fish Sauce
2 Tbsp sugar or palm sugar
2 Limes
Cilantro
Garlic
Thai Peppers to your spice level
1 Tsp MSG (Optional)
Ginger (Optional)
Diced Tomatoes (Optional) if you feel like trying it this way its good also
Can Dilute with warm water to cut down on the saltiness and make the sauce stretch for bigger batches.
