Dharmachari Maitreyananda is Grand Master of Yoga Masters, President of World Yoga Council of International Yoga Federation, Patron of Yoga Federation of India, Honorific President of Yoga Association of India in America, Patron of Asian Yoga Federation, Patron of Sivananda World Peace Foundation, President of Aurobindo International Yoga Association, member of Swami Sivananda Yogasanas Research Centre of India and International Sivananda Association. Was former president of International Yoga Federation 1990-1992, 2002-2006 and 2014-2018. In 1983 he founded the Maitreyananda Orchestra for Sangita Yoga. Maitreyananda was founder of Aurobindo Sivananda Ashram, Aurobindo Ashram of America, Swami Asuri Kapila - Ramana Ashram, Purna Yoga Ashram, International Yogatherapy Association, International Yoga School and International Yoga University. He teach Grand Master of Yoga Training Course, for yogacharyas, yoga masters, trainers of yoga teachers and yoga teachers.
