The name of Nuodeng Ancient Village has not changed for more than a thousand years since the Nanzhao period of the Tang Dynasty, so it is called the "Millennium Bai Village" and is also the oldest village in Yunnan.

Nuodeng Village is surrounded by mountains. The lowest point of the village is 1,900 meters above sea level, and the highest point, the Jade Emperor Pavilion, is more than 2,100 meters above sea level, with a large altitude difference. The "gate" style is the most abundant in Nuodeng residential buildings, and the door directions are also different. Its style is luxurious and elegant. In addition, the style of the main house "hall" of each family reflects solemnity, simplicity and elegance. Many families still retain furniture, antiques and sundries from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Among the existing residential buildings, the buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties are the main ones, and there are also some buildings from the Republic of China.
