On 2nd August 2025, the Main Auditorium of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi (formerly Ranchi College) witnessed a truly historic evening, as Pt. Tushar Dutta, All India Top Grade Artist, graced the stage with his mesmerizing performance.

Groomed as a scholar at the prestigious ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Pt. Dutta received guidance from the legendary A. Kanan and Arun Bhaduri of the Kirana Gharana. He further enriched his artistry under the tutelage of K. G. Ginde and Sunil Bose of the Agra Gharana, as well as Subhra Guha. By blending the intricate gayaki of Kirana and Agra traditions, he has created a style that is uniquely his own.

Organized by All India Classical Art Association in collaboration with Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, this concert was the realization of a long-cherished dream for us. For over a year, we envisioned bringing Pt. Tushar Dutta to Ranchi - and when it finally happened, the magic was beyond words. His soulful presentation, impeccable taans, and deep emotional connect made this one of the most awaited and unforgettable performances we have ever experienced.
