In this video I run my 1974 Marshall MKII "plexi" through a Bugera power soak and test out three different levels of gain with three different guitars to see what types of differences would be heard and how the amps and guitars would respond. In the video I demo a 2021 Murphy Lab R9, 2023 Epiphone Korina "Inspired By Gibson Custom Shop" Explorer and my EVH Frankie. The MKII really responds in a unique way to the Bugera at all three different levels of gain, and the difference in the tone of the guitars is quite surprising as well. I recorded the Marshall using the original 1974 cabinet with a shurre 57 and MKL Condenser Mic, running it in stereo into pro tools. I add a tiny but of delay and reverb just for ambience but it is barely audible. I hope you find the results interesting and cool. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe!
