What if I told you history doesn’t just sit in books… it still echoes in the air?
📍 Tulsa, Oklahoma — May 31 to June 1, 1921
The Greenwood District, known as Black Wall Street, was one of the richest Black communities in the country. But in less than 24 hours, a white supremacist mob burned 35 city blocks, destroyed over 1,200 homes and businesses, killed hundreds, and left thousands homeless.
For decades, this history was erased. Survivors were silenced. Graves went unmarked. Memories buried.
But the ground remembers.
At Oaklawn Cemetery, unmarked burial sites of massacre victims were uncovered. Visitors to Greenwood report cold spots, footsteps on empty streets, brief flashes of light, and strange sensations near memorials. Shapes, presences, memories — lingering like the fires that never fully went out.
Maybe it isn’t ghosts. Maybe it’s memory refusing to be erased.
