Part of a series of documentary shows covering dance music's ascendance from the fields and warehouse parties in 1988/1989 through to the indoor and outdoor raves and the clubbing scene in the 90's through to the modern day scene (at that time) back in 2000/2001. This series was first broadcasted on ITV back in 2001.

Presented by Dave Pearce (presenter of Radio 1's Dance Anthems show), it features his selection of the Top 10 tunes for the year the show is covering plus interviews with artists such as Double 99, Artful Dodger, Faithless, Slipmatt, Fabio, Judge Jules, Joey Negro, The Sneaker Pimps, Boy George, Tony Wilson, Graeme Park and many more.

In this show Dave covers the Trance scene which is becoming ever popular in 1999, he interviews Roger Sanchez, outdoor festivals still retain their popularity with Homelands being a big event in this year, Basement Jaxx are also interviewed and Remixing and the Remixers behind them are discussed.
