The orchestra masterfully performed iconic works of the classical repertoire, featuring renowned soloists Andrei Ioniță and pianist Alexandra Dariescu. On the first evening, at the Palace Hall, the program included pieces by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich and Stravinsky. On the second day, the concert featured works by Enescu and Shostakovich.
👏As part of the festival’s 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 theme, these concerts also honoured important anniversaries: 70 years since Enescu’s passing, 50 years since Shostakovich’s passing, and 80 years since the founding of the Philharmonia Orchestra.
