My 2026 New Year’s resolution is to be more transparent and honest with people. I wrote this song back in 2021, two years after my life was turned upside down. No matter how strong we think we are in Christ, the adversary can still attack—and sometimes he works through people who don’t even realize it. They may never know it, and that's ok. God is the judge.
I was isolated from my church, my friends, and even my family. The hardest part was losing the sense of purpose I was sure God had for me. My vision, my passion—it all felt gone. I hit a low point where I couldn’t even feel God, and it was a true "Job moment". (I have always known the presence of God.)
Even in heartbreak, I clung to Him, telling Him I did not want to be a 2 Peter 2:20-22 person. If you are not going forward with God, you are going backward. Then one day, I sat at my piano for the first time in years, and music just poured out. Healing began. I had to re-learn who Jesus is for me. He has shown me that even though I’m old, he is not done with me yet.
For 2026, I’m releasing some of this music, starting with the song that started it all. I hope it blesses you as much as it has blessed me.
