Welcome to this live guided meditation and relaxation session from SimplyBe Meditations. These live videos are created to help you relax, slow down, and be fully present in the moment.
This live meditation focuses on soothing the threat system through compassion‑focused mindfulness.
In Compassion Focused Therapy, the threat system is the part of the brain designed to protect us. When it becomes over‑active, it can lead to anxiety, self‑criticism, and emotional overwhelm. Rather than trying to force calm, this session gently activates the soothing system — helping the nervous system feel safer and more supported.
This practice is slow, spacious, and trauma‑sensitive, allowing you to rest, soften, and reconnect with kindness.
Suitable if you experience:
• Anxiety or stress
• Self‑criticism or shame
• Emotional overwhelm
• A constantly busy or alert mind
You are welcome exactly as you are.
✨ What to expect in these live sessions:
Guided mindfulness and meditation practices
Relaxation and breathing exercises
A calm, supportive space to reconnect with yourself
An invitation to embrace stillness, presence, and self‑compassion
During the meditation, you may notice everyday sounds around you — a doorbell, background noise, or life continuing as it naturally does. This is completely fine. Rather than resisting interruptions, you’re invited to allow sounds to deepen your experience, giving yourself permission not to attend to anything unless it’s truly urgent. You may wish to switch off your phone to minimise interruptions, while also releasing the need for everything to be perfectly quiet.
🧘♀️ Live session guidance:
I will guide you through a variety of mindfulness, relaxation, and breathing exercises that we practise together each Sunday & Monday. You’re warmly invited to join me live, allowing you to share the experience in real time.
To help you fully immerse yourself, I suggest not messaging during the exercise itself. I’ll always allow 5–10 minutes at the end of each session for reflection, feedback, and interaction if you wish to share. If you’d like to introduce yourself when you join the live stream, please feel free — just remember to be respectful, as messages will remain visible on the uploaded video.
🎵 Music note:
There is no background music during the session, so you’re welcome to play your own relaxation music if that feels supportive. Each of us relaxes differently, and this allows you to choose what works best for you.
