February 10, 2026, Tuesday, the APDA is promoting a new webinar to discuss a new exciting partnership that expands cutting-edge loudspeaker and audio solutions engineered and assembled in the US, in this case targeting immersive designs and soundbars. Dan Digre, MISCO President and CEO, together with Mike Binn, CEO of Apical Point, will detail how the audio solutions manufacturer from Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul is leveraging the ComHear technology and IP, a pioneering algorithmic beamsteering platform and the first 3D audio soundbar using adaptive audio technology.

This will be a webinar focused on new perspectives for product development and product design leveraging a unique set of technologies from a US-based 3D audio pioneer. In this session, Dan Digre, the President and CEO of MISCO Speakers (www.miscospeakers.com), together with Mike Binn, CEO of Apical Point Partners & Apical Point Global, and advisor to the Board of Directors of Comhear (San Diego, California), representing the company’s patented AI and ML-based, adaptable audio solutions, will detail how the two parts are working together in a new venture to expand loudspeaker and audio solutions engineered and assembled in the US.

ComHear is a name that very few will recognize but that just eight years ago was generating headlines as it completed a very successful crowdfunding campaign for its 3DX immersive audio soundbar, which was demonstrated at CES and many audio industry events. ComHear was again in the news a few years ago for being the target of a (failed) acquisition. The San Diego-based company definitely left a mark for its 3D audio soundbar concept that could create a convincing personal audio field for both work and entertainment applications. Its patented MyBeam technology, and all associated IP, remained available for licensing, and motivated MISCO to combine its expertise in driver and electronics engineering, looking to create advanced, immersive experiences for OEM customer products.

As former Senior Vice President of ComHear, Mike Binn previously worked with overseas Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) to bring this exciting technology to market, only to observe a frustratingly slow pace of prototype development, a lack of dedicated focus on the B2B market, and less-than-ideal technology marketing. An understanding that was finally found in a partnership with MISCO, exploring how beam steering technology could address specific audio challenges and unlock new possibilities for all sorts of OEM projects.

MISCO's work with ComHear added the company’s audio engineering and manufacturing expertise from a single source, from concept to production, making the cutting-edge beam steering and 3D audio capabilities available in different speaker hardware. For product development teams, this opens up faster implementation of 3D audio experiences and spatial audio algorithms without the complexity typically associated with implementing such features, and all from completely different speaker form factors. MISCO’s unique expertise with Klippel measurement tools enables analysis of vibrational behavior under real-world conditions, resulting in better-performing, consistent, and cost-effective products.

During this APDA webinar, the two executives will expand on the details of this collaboration with ComHear, how MISCO is able to address many different product designs and applications that completely leverage this adaptive audio technology. We will also learn exciting details about the ComHear technology and new possibilities enabled by the partnership, including about the exiting patents for directional and adaptive real-time audio filtering using sensor inputs.
