Sushena replied that the Mrit Sanjeevani only grew on a magical mountain in the Himalayas called Mount Dronagiri, along with several other extraordinary herbs.
Shri Ram, Lakshman and the vanar sena were in Lanka, an island in the great ocean down south, while the Himalayas were far, far away, up north, and time was running out!
There was only person who could possibly make such a long journey in such a short span of time.

The wise old Jambavan, who had once reminded Hanuman of his lost superpowers, once again stepped forward to boost the Monkey God’s morale.
Jambavan told Hanuman that he was Pawanputra, the son of Vayu, who could fly like the wind.
He would easily return well in time to revive Lakshman.
With his confidence restored, Hanuman chanted Shri Ram’s name, took a giant leap into the dark night sky, and began flying north.
He kept flying as fast as he could, over rivers and lakes, mountains and villages, never stopping.
Soon, he could see ahead of him the magnificent Himalayas, looming large in the sky.
In the centre of the giant peaks was a smaller mountain, shining like a thousand jewels in the darkness!
It was the magical mountain, Dronagiri.
Hanuman descended from the sky and started walking towards the mountain.
But there were so many sparkling magical herbs growing on it, that Hanuman was confused, not knowing which one of them was the Mrit Sanjeevani.
With time running out, Hanuman took a momentous spot decision.
He decided to carry the entire Dronagiri mountain back to Lanka!
As the first rays of the morning sun were appearing in the sky, Hanuman grew into a gigantic size and picked up the mighty Dronagiri as easily as lifting a small rock.
Then, with the magical mountain carefully balanced on his giant palm, Hanuman took to the skies and began flying back to Lanka as fast as he could!
In the next episode, which will be published shortly, we will bring the story of how Lakshman, now revived, engaged Indrajit in a mighty battle and eventually killed him.
Also included in the episode will be how Kumbh and Nikumbh, the mighty sons of Kumbhakarna, entered the war after Indrajit’s death and were themselves slain by Angad and Hanuman respectively.
