In the 1965 animated short Half Baked Alaska, directed by Sid Marcus and produced by Walter Lantz Productions, Chilly Willy finds himself in a snowy Alaskan town, desperately seeking food. Spotting Smedley's Snack Bar, he is enticed by the aroma of hotcakes. However, with prices set at $10 per stack, Chilly Willy realizes he can't afford a meal. Determined to earn money, Chilly Willy tries various jobs—including pianist, barber, blacksmith, and photographer—but each attempt ends in failure and frustration. Returning to the snack bar, he discovers that Smedley is preparing 200 hotcakes for a demanding and aggressive lumberjack. Seizing the opportunity, Chilly Willy stealthily steals the hotcakes before they reach the lumberjack, leading to a series of comedic mishaps.
