In the biggest operation so far, the NCB conducted a massive night-long raid at the capital city’s airport to prevent a major drug trafficking attempt. More than 30 NCB officers, along with a dog squad and selected officials, carried out search operations from 3 AM to 8 AM inside the airport premises. The raid was launched following intelligence inputs about suspected narcotics arriving via international flights. Simultaneously, large-scale raids are still underway at multiple hotels in the capital to nab key traffickers and receivers linked to international drug syndicates. No official confirmation has yet been made on seizures as the investigation is still ongoing and media access remains restricted.
