It was an incredible way to start the morning at camp when we spotted a honey badger roaming around. That moment set the tone for the rest of the day. On our way to the Malelane Gate, we had the privilege of spending time with a pair of lions, getting remarkably close to them. Later, we made a quick trip to the town of Malelane for some shopping and returned as fast as we could. Taking a gravel road behind Berg-en-Dal, we spotted two female lions and enjoyed a private, unforgettable encounter with them. Throughout the day, we spotted a variety of animals, including our first leopard sighting. However, the day ended with a wild electric and wind storm and we were convinced our tent was about to fly away! What a dramatic way to end such an eventful day.
