Remove Vanagon clutch and flywheel without dropping the transaxle 1080

Описание: This is not a how-to, but has perhaps enough video to show that the clutch and flywheel can be removed without dropping a Vanagon transaxle. It's a Syncro 4WD - a 2wd Van should be easier.

You need to understand ratchet straps. Ratchet straps "release" when you open them to the "flat" configurations. And they also release if you allow the "wrap" to diminish. Repeat - you need to understand ratchet strap operation before going under a 110 lb gearbox hanging on ratchet straps. Watch some ratchet strap videos.

If you are competent with ratchet straps this is an easy method to drop a trans to the ground (if necessary). And note that with no 'jack' under the trans, you can zoom around on a creeper, un-impeded.
