Today I had the honor of receiving my Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Prof Olavo Abreu. A start of a new journey, a milestone achieved & earned, much bigger than all the goals set and achieved. A belt that probably 1% of everyone who starts BJJ will receive.
I still suck at jits and I will never know everything. I may never be the best at JiuJitsu, but JiuJitsu is the best thing that has happened to me and definitely brings out the best in me.
This reminded me that JiuJitsu isn't about the medals, trophies and titles. It's not about how good you are at JiuJitsu. It's about how good JiuJitsu is for you.
New belt, same mission. Keep learning, keep growing, keep getting smashed and changing lives by giving back.
