This cassette was one of a batch which I bought recently and which has stood the test of time very well.
This track particulary held my attention; a lively powerful work, which seems to be rather underrated. This rendition by Antal Dorati and the Detriot Symphony Orchestra really does do it justice. If you like the music of Carmen, Chabrier's Espana or works of composers such as Khachaturian, for example, then you will like this.
The playback deck is a Revox B710 MkII, with the Dolby B decoding switched in. Apart from some additional digital noise reduction, I didn't need to do very much with this recording.
This performance was recorded in 1978 and released on cassette in 1979.
The catalogue number for the vinyl edition is SXL 6896.
