Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and North Miami Beach Police responded to the crash near Northeast 165th Terrace and Biscayne Boulevard around 10 a.m on Jan 8th 2025. One person was injured after a vehicle collided with a Brightline train in North Miami. The damaged car was removed and workers quickly repaired the railroad crossing. This video was taken one and a half hour after the crash.
Dubbed the deadliest train per mile in America by the Associated Press, data from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) showed that 125 people died in Brightline incidents since the train launched service, giving the high-speed rail system the highest death rate of any other train in the nation.
As of today, none of these accidents or deaths have been ruled Brightline's fault.
