Smell: Very light sweet natural tobacco aroma
Cold Draw: Light and sweet
First Impression: little spicy black pepper draw. Long finish with light black pepper. Retro-Hale very pungent pepper and hint of floral. No sweetness.
1/3: Spicy and pungent goes away, some sweetness comes in. A little bit sour. Retro-Hale cedar and citrus.
2/3: Silky lingering light sweet smoke on the draw. Hint of Milk chocolate. Light sweet and spicy finish. Retro-Hale creamy sweet cedar, and hint of floral.
3/3: Much smoother and balanced now. Becomes very pleasant natural sweet. Mouth watery sweetness light coffee finish. Retro-Hale smoke wood, cedar, and floral.
Overall: Flawless construction, razor sharp burn. Beautiful white ash. Medium body. Strength kick in at 3/3, stronger than the maduro version. This cigar won the 2nd place at 2017, but I didn't like the first impression and the beginning of 1/3. So I rate this 4.9/5.0.
