Detailed Industrial Dyeing Process Flow
Preparation (Winding): Raw, grey yarn is wound onto perforated cones or packages for dyeing, a step called "soft winding".
Scouring and Bleaching: The yarn is treated to remove natural oils, waxes, and impurities, ensuring an even color.
Dyeing/Coloring:
Yarn is placed into a dye vessel where it is heated.
Dye, salt, and chemicals are added at precise temperatures to exhaust the color into the fibers.
Package dye machines circulate dye liquor through the tubes.
Rinsing and Washing: The yarn is thoroughly rinsed with water to remove any excess dye. Hot wash and soaping (treating with soap) are done to ensure colorfastness.
Post-Treatment: A finishing chemical (like softener) is often added to improve the yarn's texture.
Drying: The dyed yarn is dried using specialized equipment.
Final Winding: The dyed yarn is rewound for use in weaving or knitting.
