It's hard to make a 5.5L V8 engine sound dull and the 670bhp Cadillac LMC55R is no exception, complete with the 67hp Bosch MGU that gives it that great pit stall launch before the almost F5000 sounding engine roars into life. Sadly the team struggled in the race with various issues (although to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023 it seemed as if you just had to have the least amount of issues), with the red Action Express Racing cars chances suffering heavily at the first Mulsanne chicane with a crash, the yellow car qualified well before a spontaneous combustion followed by various minor incidents that robbed it of precious time and the blue car could have fought for overall victory had it not drank oil at an alarming rate. Hopefully Cadillac come back next year with better luck as they often show promising pace at Le Mans but never quite make it to where they should be. And who wouldn't want this soundtrack to take the big title.
