Fifty years after the apartheid government forced learners from the Lückhoff High School in Stellenbosch to vacate the premises, past and present pupils led a symbolic march in the town to return some of the old school's furniture.
Under the Group Areas Act, a new school with the same name was established further afield in Idas Valley.
Stellenbosch University says it will create the Lückhoff Living Museum for the Vlakte community on its premises.
