"The idea of the festival is to put Jordan on the map for restaurant tourism because the types of tourism have evolved past the ones we know. This is our first experience, and it will be an annual event. God willing, the number of participants will grow larger and larger every year. This year, we have 70 restaurants and 22 food trucks, in addition to local market participants, which all showcase Jordanian heritage kitchens that introduce our guests to Jordanian heritage food from the north to the south, including Palestinian, Circassian, and Chechen cuisines."

"I have seen many cuisines, Jordanian, Palestinian, Circassian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese - cuisines from all over the world. Honestly, they all taste delicious, but I prefer our traditional cuisine. Of course, it is the most delicious cuisine I could taste."

STORYLINE:
A food festival in Amman celebrated the rich flavors and diversity of traditional Jordanian cuisine from every corner of the country.
The food fest aims to promote Jordanian cuisine which draws on Palestinian, Syrian, Yemen and Circassian influences and to boost food tourism and support local production initiatives.
"The idea of the festival is to put Jordan on the map for restaurant tourism," said Muna Heina, one of the organisers of the event.
