The black kids, who are kind
The shepherds on the sun scotched soil;

Tell the world we are here
Tell the world long we will stay
Tell the world here belong to us;
For we are the people, the people of Africa
The natives of a patterned land
The heirs of a great ancestry
The descendants of a daring warrior;
We are the people, the people of Africa.
Call us this -
The great giants on the ancestral savannah
Call us the dwellers, where the tall mountains
Challenge the blue sky
For we are the people, the people of Africa.
