Описание:
Emily Davison was a feminist in England during the early 20th century. From 1908 to 1913 she was a member of the Women’s Social and Political Union, and participated in militant tactics to ensure women acquired the right to vote. Emily and her fellow women were referred to as Suffragettes.
Emily Davison fought with police, threw rocks at politicians, and set fire to mailboxes. She was imprisoned repeatedly, and force fed at least 49 times.
Her career ended suddenly in 1913 when, during a horse race, she ran onto the track and tried to grab the King's horse. It did not end well for Emily.
