Most Americans think Joe Biden is ignoring the most important issues, according to the latest polls released today.
The President is facing his worst set of polling since his return from Europe – the worst set since he was sworn in as president.
The president's approval rating is around where Donald Trump's was four years ago – but his disapproval rating is much worse.
According to polls taken by USA Today last week – after the Democrats loss in the Virginia gubernatorial election but before the passing of the infrastructure bill – just 37.8 per cent approve of the president's performance.
A CNN poll also released today is not any better – almost two-thirds of respondents say the president is ignoring the main problems – which, among Americans, has shifted sharply away from the pandemic and to the economy.
While polling is notoriously fickle, the latest set of polls follow a consistent downward trend over the last few months.
