Although John wasn't experiencing any problems, with over 120,000 miles he wanted to be pro-active about replacing the fuel filter. In his mind, he was pushing his luck - and he didn't want that type of problem to erupt in the winter when it's not a fun time to be outside working on his car.
Of course replacing the filter dovetailed into also replacing the fuel lines - as well as a few other projects...
If your Jeep falls within the same age range and goes through bad weather, you may find rust behind your bumper like John did, which we'll post as a separate video.
He also replaced his fuel tank cover - but he felt that was not a job for a weekend backyard car tinkerer, so we did not record it. That was a bear, and for most people he recommends having a professional mechanic handle.
