There has been a general consensus in the Constitutional Court, that the illegal contract of Cash Paymasters be extended to pay grant beneficiaries beyond the 1st of April. The period has however been under dispute, but CPS conceded that it can provide the services until March next year. Black Sash which made the application to the court has called for an independent monitoring mechanism. Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini has been accused of failing in her constitutional duty.
