Quranism, or Quraniyya, or so called al-Qur'āniyya in Arabic, is a form of Islam sometimes known as Quran-only Islam or Quranic Islam. It believes that traditional religious clergy have contaminated religion and that Islamic counsel should only be based on the Quran, thereby rejecting the hadith literature's religious authority. Quranists think that the Quran is already comprehensive and clear, and that it can be comprehended without the use of other literature. Quranists argue that the vast bulk of hadith literature is false, and that the Quran itself rejects hadith in both technical and general terms.

#thequranistmuslims is a Youtube channel that is sharing about the practices and the belief system of the Quranist Muslims. The Quranist Muslims are considered as one of the minor denominations of the Islamic religion. That is outside, the Sunni and the Shia majority, or famously known as the traditionalist Muslims. The population of Muslims that practice the Quranist denomination are unknown. But they are considered as a very small population, out of the total of 2.3 Billion Muslims in the world.

Majority of Muslims in the world today, are the traditionalist Muslims, that include both the Sunnis and Shias. These traditionalist Muslims, consider the Quranist Muslims as heretics. That the Quranists are considered, as being outside of Islamic religion by the traditionalist Muslims. This is because, most of the practices and belief system of the Quranist Muslims, are totally different to those of the traditionalist Muslims. In some cases, the Quranist’s practises and belief system, are in total opposite to those of the traditionalist Muslims.

As such, in order to avoid persecution or isolation from the public, most Quranist Muslims keep to themselves, about their real practises and belief system. This is because, those Quranist Muslims, that openly declared themselves as the Quranists, usually end up in the jails, being mocked, being oppressed, and in a few serious cases, end up being murdered.

However, this youtube channel, is to clear up the misunderstand and the suspicious, of the traditionalist Muslims, against the Quranist Muslims. The biggest problem of why the traditionalist Muslims are very suspicious of the Quranist Muslims, is because they didn’t know and didn’t understand anything about the Quranist Muslims. Thus, there is already exist a misunderstanding and misconception about the Quranist Muslims.

And one of the reason, is because the Quranist Muslims, are not given the chance to raise out their voice and their viewpoints to the public. Most of the time, it was the traditionalist ulamaks, that are issuing threats and warnings against the Quranist Muslims. These traditionalist ulamaks, view the Quranist Muslims as a threat to their own doctrine. And thus, in order to preserve their followers and protect their own doctrine against the Quranists, these traditionalist ulamaks usually badmouthing or creating fasads against the Quranist Muslims.

We hope, those traditionalist Muslims, by watching and listening to these videos, would open up their hearts and their minds. And would later on, be more tolerant and be more accepting toward the Quranist Muslims. The Quranists are Muslims too. It’s not up the majority, the traditionalist Muslims, to determine that the Quranist Muslims are heretics or not. In the end, it’s all up to Allah alone, either to accept the Quranist Muslims or not. Not the majority. Either you go to heaven or to hell, it does not depend on the majority votes or by the democratic system. It’s totally, depends on Allah alone.
