There is a fire we must sustain as believers. In Revelation 3:16, Jesus rebuked the church of Laodicea for being 'lukewarm' (neither hot nor cold). In 1 Thessalonians 5:19, we are urged, "Do not quench the Spirit." In Acts 2:3, we are told of how the Holy Spirit came down on the disciples like tongues of fire.
We know that God desires a fervent church that is fully alive to Him. But how do we keep that passion alive in our daily lives? While we all go through seasons of spiritual highs and lows, there are disciplines that keep the flame burning.
