The electrical resistivity of any material depends on the temperature and the type of material. There are different types of materials including conductors, insulators, and semiconductors. An object with desired resistance is known as a resistor. One can determine the value of resistance in a carbon resistor by decoding the four bands on it. The first three bands indicate the three digits of the resistance value and the last band indicates the number of zeroes. Ohm’s law states the relationship between potential difference and electric current. According to Ohm’s Law, the voltage across a conductor is directly proportional to the current flowing through the conductor, provided that the temperature and all other physical conditions remain constant.
