FIAT Dino Spider restoration update. I am moving towards getting the Spider tub mounted on to the Celette jig. But in the process of this happening I have great access to the floor. So have taken the opportunity to get some stuff done. The rust has caused some issues with the under seat area. Rear seat pan on the near side really needs replacing and that is what I’m doing.
I have made a new panel and will let it in.
Nothing is available for these cars in terms of body work. Repair panels were available for the outer sills but they were incorrect and are no longer being produced. I make everything by hand from scratch with great attention to detail.
It’s very time consuming but it is the only way to get it done properly, anything less is just building up work for the future and really is devaluing the car. So do the job properly and then you only have to do it the once.
