In my head, we were about to be that couple – laughing, whisking, feeding each other bites. And then the instructor said the words that shut my whole spirit down:

“You’ll be kneading the dough with your bare hands and sharing ingredients with the couple next to you.”

My inner germaphobe said: absolutely not.
So guess who sat there with her wine and watched her husband cook like it was the Food Network? 🙋🏾‍♀️

We still had a good time, we laughed, we drank, Big O threw down in that kitchen… but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bummed that I couldn’t get past it.
