This is more than a song. It is a personal declaration. I wrote Not One Step Back as a proclamation that I will no longer concede my morality to the degeneracy of modern culture. Clarification: Lines such as “I will not move” are not statements of pride or arrogance. Rather, they express obedience to Christ. I will not move except in the direction He leads me. I will not stray from His guidance, His grace, or His mercy. This is a stance of surrender, not self-will.
